Top Halloween Brand CampaignsOther than Christmas, brands just love capitalising on any form of holiday. From Halloween to Easter you’re going to be given some sort of advertising message along the way. Some brands tend to not be very subtle at trying to convince us to buy their product but where some fail, others succeed. So here are what we think some of the best Halloween campaigns ever.
1. Mini Cooper Halloween CampaignThe notably cheery, often referred to as a ‘cute’ Mini Cooper was transformed into a cheeky Halloween character. The car manufacturer devised a series of Halloween ads with a cheeky twist creating a brilliantly, funny series of ads.
2. IKEA Halloween CampaignIKEA Singapore unveiled their Halloween campaign for 2014 and it was a good one! They gave their take on the classic horror film, The Shining, which is instantly recognisable to anyone who’s seen the film (and maybe some who haven’t). The advert follows a child rolling around on a tricycle in a creepy-looking IKEA store. It goes alongside their Halloween campaign ‘spot and win’, where you can win items you spot in the videos.
3. Guinness Halloween CampaignGuinness are no strangers to a great ad campaign, providing Halloween-inspired adverts to capitalise on the holiday. Their funny adverts have been very successful at becoming viral content.
4. Pizza Hut Halloween CampaignPizza Hut are another food brand that have managed to successfully make the most of the Halloween holiday and in a funny way too. Not overtly trying to sell, but still make you want a piece of that melted-cheese goodness!
5. Booking.com Halloween CampaignHalloween isn’t typically a time when people want to book a holiday so this haunted hotel Halloween campaign from Booking.com effectively manages to gain recognition as no other holiday company is doing so with a suitable scary ad.
6. Snickers Halloween CampaignSnickers unveiled a Halloween campaign that perfectly tied-in with their longstanding tagline, ‘you’re not you when you’re hungry’, changing the second part to, ‘you’re a monster’. They’ve also racked up nearly 2 million views on YouTube for this hilarious advert with two kids pretending to be a huge woman, the message being, ‘kids only want to be given snickers when trick or treating.’
7. Skittles Halloween CampaignSkittles Halloween campaign is perfectly silly and encapsulates the brands message, ‘Trap the rainbow, taste the rainbow’ (trap being a reference to the spider in the advert).
8. Nike Halloween CampaignNike plays on their core brand message very well with the campaign aptly called, ‘Run for you life‘. The main advertising message being, okay, if Freddie Krueger comes for you in some creepy woods, it’s okay because you can run in your Nikes!
